1. Question: How do I change my Alternate Greeting message?

Answer: The Alternate Mailbox Greeting is a special greeting for times when you are away from the office for an extended time or on vacation.

 TO RECORD YOUR ALTERNATE GREETING:

  1. Press FEATURE 981 on your telephone.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Press 8 or ADMIN.
  4. Press 2 or GREET.
  5. Press 1 or REC.
  6. Press 2 or ALT.
  7. You will see “Record new?” Press 1 or YES.
    1. Record your greeting at the beep, if you want to retry,    you will have that option.
    2. When you are satisfied with your recording, press # or OK.
    3. Press 2 or GREET and you will see “Greeting options”
    4. Press 2 or CHOOSE
    5. Press 2 or ALT
    6. You are asked whether the mailbox accepts messages. If you choose “Y”(Yes) your mailbox receives messages in normal way. If you choose “N”(No) messages cannot be left in your mailbox.

2. Question: How do I initiate a Conference Call?

  1. While on an existing call, put that caller on hold
  2. Dial the number of a third party.  You and the third party are talking privately at this time
  3. Press the FEATURE 3 or Conference button.
  4. Press the button next to the flashing icon and now your conference call is complete. To return to the caller if no answer or busy, press the button next to the flashing icon.
  5. Press RLS to end the conference call.

Multi-party Conference Call (4 or more people )

  1. Follow the steps to establish a three-party conference call
  2. Press the NEWCALL softkey, or press FEATURE 807.
  3. After the fourth call is answered, press FEATURE 3 or Conference button, and press the held line.
  4. Put the fourth call on hold and repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more calls to the conference.

3. Question: How do I change Call Forward on a Busy signal?

Answer: Before you begin, find out voicemail’s DN by pressing Feature 985, write down Set Number.

Place the Programming Overlay over the keys of your phone 

  •  Press Feature **(your company’s configuration #). Your screen will prompt you for User ID.

       Your screen will prompt you for a password.

Note: If you do not know your company’s configuration #, please ask your system administrator.  

  1. The screen will say “Terminals & Sets”. Press SHOW .
  2. The screen will read “Show set:___”. Enter the internal number of the telephone. In our example, it’s 225.
  3. The screen will read “225:JOHN”. Press SHOW and NEXT.
  4. The screen will say “Capabilities” Press SHOW.
  5. You will see “Call Forward No Answer”.
  6. Press NEXT you will see “Forward on busy:__”
  7. Press SHOW  and CHANGE to enter extension of Voice Mail from Feature 985
  8. Press RELEASE to end programming and save changes.
