Intouch 5.0 - New Release from Nortel
Nortel Networks has just released new and exciting features with its latest BCM 5.0 system!
Over time, it is advised to upgrade your system to keep it current so you can take advantage of enhancements and developments for your systems version of operating software. But upgrading your system doesn’t just keep your system current and supportable. It will give you new, powerful business tools necessary to help you to compete.
One of the most exciting features in the 5.0 Release, is the InTouch feature which provides a simple, streamlined method of communicating with business and personal contacts. The application offers Click to Call, Presence information and Instant Messaging (IM) all within a simple Microsoft Outlook window.
With InTouch, users can now select and manage the method they choose to communicate, whether it is real time voice, email, voicemail or real time Instant Messaging. Collaboration with contacts can be selected one-on-one or one-to-many using Voice, Email or Meet Me Conferencing. Best of all, users can see the status of their contacts using BCM In Touch’s Presence Monitoring in order to allow them to select the communication approach that best suits themselves and the people they are trying to contact. The Presence status shows whether they are on the phone, in a meeting, busy in Skype or in MSM Instant Messaging. “Calendar Mining” is an ability to see and use the calendar information of the other party. So an InTouch user can even schedule a communications session using the Outlook calendar info of both parties.
Simplified and consolidated contact information is an additional value. For those tired of dealing with different contact lists in Outlook, BCM, Skype, and MSN, InTouch will simplify the situation by helping to consolidate lists of contacts into one convenient InTouch contacts list. InTouch will monitor and provide Presence status for each user’s 500 most important contacts, whether they are business or personal.
